6 Day, 5 Night Safari – Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara

Safari Day 1                                           

Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
Lunch En route followed by an afternoon Game drive through Tarangire.
Tarangire National park is 2850 Square kilometres making it the sixth largest park in Tanzania and offering the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. Tarangire is known for its large heards of Elephants which can be viewed at close range. Other animals likely to be seen throughout Tarangire are; wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, rhino, warthog, impala, pythons, lions, leopards and over 50 species of birds.
Drive to Manyara. Overnight at Campsite just outside Manyara.

Safari Day 2                                            

After breakfast drive to Serengeti.
Lunch en route before enjoying a late afternoon game drive through the Serengeti.
Serengeti National park spans across 14,763 Square Kilometres and is easily the countries largest and most popular National park. The Serengeti is host to the annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Buffalo, elephants, giraffe, lions, hippos and hyenas are also frequently sited throughout the Serengeti.
Camp overnight in the heart of the Serengeti at the Seronera Campsite.

Safari Day 3

Early morning set-off to catch the spectacular Serengeti sunrise as you begin your game drive.
Head back to the campsite for lunch.
Afternoon/evening Game drive with the magical sunset backdrop.
Camp overnight at the Seronera Campsite, Serengeti.

Safari Day 4

Morning Drive in the Serengeti, returning to the campsite for lunch and pack-up.
Depart the Serengeti for Ngorongoro crater.
Camp at the Simba Campsite, rim of the crater amongst the wilderness. Keep your eyes out for elephants, warthogs and Zebras!

Safari Day 5

Early breakfast for another magical sunrise before descending into the crater for a half day game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is commonly referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. The walls of the crater stand 2,000 feet high while the floor spans across approximately 10 miles. Animal citing throughout the crater includes elephant, black rhino, hippo, buffalo, eland, zebra, wildebeest, hartebeest, waterbuck, warthog, Grant’s gazelle and Thomson’s gazelle, baboons, vervet monkeys, lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal and the occasional leopard.
Drive to Lake Manyara. Camp overnight in Mto Wambu just outside Lake Manyara.

 Safari Day 6

After breakfast, early morning game drive through Lake Manyara.
Lake Manyara National Park is approximately 330 Square Kilometres of which 200 sq Kilometres make up the lake itself when water levels are at a maximum. From a sea of Pink Flamingos as far as the eye can see to bull elephants at close range, Lake Manyara showcases a superb variety of herd animals and birdlife.
Enjoy a packed lunch before returning to Arusha.
